How the House works

How the House works – a seminar delivered by senior officers from the Department of the House of Representatives, is designed to help attendees learn more about the role of the House and its members, the legislative process, and the work of House and Joint committees. The seminar is being offered on three occasions in 2024.

At the close of proceedings (approx. 12.30pm), in-person attendees will have the opportunity to attend the public gallery in the House Chamber for a Q&A in relation to the chamber environment. The full seminar itinerary can be viewed here.
